Living in small town Rexburg, Idaho has been a real treat. Everything is laid back, you can get anywhere within 5 minutes, and there aren't a lot of problems with law breakers but there are a lot of weirdys. That could be that it's a prominently LDS community, but I can't be sure. Anyway in the school newspaper every week there is special section that prints the Police Log.
Typically there is always one entry that makes you raise your eyebrow and reminds you that this town is crazy.
This weeks police log was an absolute pot of gold! I'm going to list three for you that made me question the sanity of this town.
- Suspicious person complaint, church parking lot. Suspiciuous person was reinstalling dentures.
- Disturbance Tuscany apartments, large group of students playing music in the parking lot and sitting in a kiddie pool.
- Complaint of a person in a gorilla suit jumping on vehicles.
Seriously this town is out of its mind. I'm pretty sure this is the only place I've heard of that enforces jay-walking laws but legally lets people ride in the bed of pick-ups.
Although I love my little town, sometimes I questions the sanity of its residence.
