A big decision made over two bowls of applesauce

This week my life has been totally flipped upside down. I am still blown away by how fast things can change. So let me start from the beginning.

Rexburg is cold, neither of our parents live here, and we no longer have a reason to stay in this quiet little college town. Once Daniel and I realized all these things, we didn't want to be here anymore.
That happened about 2 months ago. I was about to start online school so other than Daniels job we really had no ties or roots to this place. Then we started to think about where we ultimately wanted to end up and raise our family, our thoughts turned to another quiet little town in southern Utah-Cedar City! We were so excited! All we could think about was moving down there! So began preparations. we had to find a job first of all, being pregnant and without health insurance wasn't really an option so we had to get a job that had insurance and could cover all of our upcoming expenses of a new baby. Well our excitement was short lived because finding a job proved to be harder than we had originally anticipated. So the idea of moving was still there but it was more of a whenever-it-happens-it-happens idea rather than a lets-hit-the-road-pronto idea. So we settled back into our everyday routine. Well on Wednesday we got a call about an opportunity to move down to St. George (40 miles south of Cedar City) to be a live in companion for an elderly woman for about 3 months. Basically just cook her food and hang out with her all day. It had all of the necessities we needed such as insurance and enough income to cover all our needs. We weren't sure what to do but then soon realized that we have been praying for an opportunity to get out of Rexburg and get closer to family so to pass up this awesome opportunity would be silly. So on Wednesday night over two bowls of applesauce our decision was made. We're moving to St. George! We're still not quite in Cedar City which is our end goal but we're getting closer and after all finding a job in the town you actually live in is way easier than finding a job when you are 500 miles away.

Now here we are, with two weeks to pack up my entire house, sell our lease, and all the while getting 20 hours worth of homework done a week we couldn't be more excited! We feel so great about this decision and are so happy that after months of waiting it's finally happening.

Oh p.s. that picture is our new home as of February 1st. Yeah, I'm going to have palm trees in my front yard.

Wish you all could move more our way, but I know that's not going to happen. Anyway we love you both very much and are happy for you............love gma and gpa Hinkson
