Since December 19th Daniel and I have spent about 8 days at home. You could say I'm a little spent on road trips and vacation. Between the hotel rooms, air mattresses and futons my giant king sized bed is looking a lot like how I imagine heaven to be. Now that we are home I have put a boycott on any kind of traveling for at least a month. Living out of a suitcase has gotten way too old.
We just got back this weekend from Daniel's parents house. We had to make an unexpected trip down
for Daniel's Grandpa's funeral. I'm not very knowledgeable on funerals and such but it was a beautiful service. I felt so grateful to have known his Grandpa in this life and to have learned so much more about him over the past few days. I am also grateful to know that even though he has moved on we will be able to see him again when our time on this earth ends. I realized over these last few days that life is short and you have to take the opportunities presented to you when you can because you might not get another chance. I know that Papa felt that way, after all how could someone travel to 6 out of the 7 continents and not believe that?
