{trying to get him to sit this time was a battle not worth fighting} |
8 months old and Lincoln is the size of a 2 year old. Seriously. He wears 24 month clothes in Carters brand. Whenever peolpe ask me how old he is they are shocked because he looks way older than he actually is. Lincoln has mastered the crawl and can pretty much get to wherever he wants in a hurry. When he is on the tile he just drags his knees because it's quicker than actually lifting his legs. About 2 weeks after He learned to crawl he started pulling himself up and things. His favorite is an upside down laundry basket because he can push it around the room. It didn't take too long after that for him to learn to crawl up the stairs. We are still in a battle with solid foods. Is this a problem for other moms out there? One day he will eat a lot in one sitting and then the next day he won't even open his mouth for food. When he's in the high chair he's more interested in slamming his back into the back of the seat to rock it than anything that I have on a spoon in front of his face. He has officially grown out of the infant car seat carrier and has graduated to the big kid car seat. We've spent a lot of time in the car because I can't more him from the car as easily when he falls asleep. Other very important skills he learned this month are high fives, blowing kisses, and waving. I haven't taught him how to blow kisses or wave so I'm not sure where he picked up on those two. the biggest thing about this month is that Lincoln has all 4 front teeth! Those were buggers to get through. This past month has been really fun but also really hard. Lincoln being so mobile has made it really hard to keep him out of things. Not to mention he has been injured more this past month than he has in his entire life. He has no sense of fear. He will crawl right off the edge of something and not even think about it. I really hope he doesn't learn to walk anytime soon because then I'll be in serious trouble and there will be no stopping him.
