4th of July

I haven't seen a firework show since 2013 so there was a lot riding on the 4th of July this year. We woke up in the morning to discover that our toilet had flooded our bathroom which had to be cleaned up right away and by cleaned up I mean serious deep cleaning and scrubbing hard core because we don't want Savy to get any infections in her incisions. So I thought this was a sign that the day wasn't going to go very well. I was wrong. We went to a parade in the morning and Lincoln LOVED it. Especially the fire trucks. Savy basically laid in her stroller the whole time. Maybe next year for her. We went home for naps and then went to a barbecue with family and friends that night. All day Lincoln was talking about fireworks, he's never seen them before so I wasn't sure why he was so excited. To start with we gave him a sparkler and his reaction was priceless. His face was so funny. After that he went through about 20 sparklers in about 5 minutes. He loved them. Once again Savy didn't care too much. Once it was dark we settled down to watch the fireworks and they were to magical to Lincoln. He would scream "WOAH!!!" and then yell "ONE MORE!!" before the firework had even finished. It was the best. Savy loved the fireworks. She was almost asleep when they started going of and she sat straight up and started pointing. She then fell asleep 5 minutes later. This 4th was exactly what I wanted and we had so much fun. Also, Savannah needs a dog. She would not leave the dog alone all night.
