The beat of her own drum

I'm in a really good place with Savannah's deafness. There has been so much progress with her through sign language and were on track for cochlear implants so I haven't had any breakdowns lately but every once in a while I realize she is missing out on something and I get a little sad. Music was one thing that has brought up these emotions. I was talking to a friend about this and she recommended getting a speaker with a base and let her hold it while the music is playing. She loves it. Everyday I blast music and she grips the speaker so tight. Because of this discovery of music she has also learned to love dancing. Especially with Daddy. We knew there had to be more ways to expose her to music. One night I was in the kitchen doing the dishes and I look into the living room and Daniel is playing his guitar and Savannah was sitting on the guitar and she was loving it! It was a really tender moment. It has been so fun learning to explore the world in a new way for Savannah.
